About Huggles
Huggles is an Australian marketplace for hiring party and event items and booking event services. Some listings are supplied by Huggles; others by independent suppliers who set their own offerings. When you book a supplier's listing, the supplier is responsible for providing it, and Huggles facilitates the booking, payment and communication. By using Huggles you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.
Your account
You must be at least 18 to book. Keep your account details accurate and your sign-in credentials secure — including any Google or Facebook account you use to sign in. You are responsible for activity under your account. Supplier accounts are additionally governed by the Huggles Supplier Agreement accepted in the supplier portal.
Bookings and payment
Prices are shown in Australian dollars. Payment is taken when you place a booking and is processed by Stripe. A booking is confirmed once payment succeeds and you receive a confirmation; until then items remain available to other customers. Availability shown on the site is live but not a reservation.
Security deposits
Hire items may carry a refundable security deposit, shown before you pay. We place the deposit as a hold on your saved card around your event date and release it after the items are returned in the condition they went out in, allowing for fair wear and tear. Loss or damage beyond fair wear may be deducted from the deposit, and we'll tell you what was deducted and why.
Cancellations and changes
Need to change or cancel? Contact us as early as possible at hello@huggles.com.au. Any cancellation terms specific to a listing are shown at booking. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including where a service isn't provided with due care or as described.
Hired items
Hired items remain the property of Huggles or the supplier. Use them safely and as intended, follow any instructions provided, and have them ready for collection (or return them) on the agreed date. You are responsible for items from delivery until collection or return.
Acceptable use
Don't misuse Huggles: no unlawful use, no interfering with the service or other users, no scraping or automated bulk access, no adding another person's contact details to guest lists without their permission, and no attempting to transact around the platform with suppliers you met through it.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Huggles is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in connection with a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee or right under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
